"We're turning the corner!"

Candy Crowley looked mildly annoyed at the thought of it, but one of the reporters did an almost Daily Show-like bit of editing laying Bush's "turning the corner" crap end to end.

Have they just noticed he just says variations on 3 or 4 phrases?

5. When will they notice his inability to speak extemporaneously?
I saw Bill Clinton on The Daily Show recently and was struck at how well he speaks without a script. Why doesn't the media show us the "real" Bush?

15. cos he's dumb"
Bill Clinton can talk without a script cos he has a brain (admittedly this is sometimes in the end of his cock!) wheras bush is so stupid he thinks he can brush his corruption under the carpet and no1 will notice. He cant talk without a script cos the truth and the fiction is blended in his head..

6. The CNNservative Pity Party Begins...
You beat me to posting, but I sense a serious corner being turned here (pardon the pun!)

Dana Bash looked almost despondent in her "report". She said the regime admitted using the word as much as it did was "a mistake" (translation: major dud in the polling) and then appologized by saying Bunnypants only used that saying "one time this week".

The regime knows it's losing BIG on the issues and there's only so much crap it can throw before people just tune it out or get disgusted with or...or these assholes just plain run out.

We'll know things are looking good for us when we start getting the "pity Bunnypants" shit, and this piece sure looked like one.

21. The pity party has hardly just begun
The pity party started when Reagan swept into office in 1980. The pity party began when whiny Pukes started convincing white male protestant Christians that they were victims of a vast left wing conspiracy. Blacks were taking their jobs. The lefties wanted to take away their churches. They even convinced the partygoers that they were being taxed into poverty. The pity party spread as time went on....more women came under the party tent, and anyone else who the "left" "victimized." By 1994, enough people had been convinced that the lefties were going to get them that they gave control of congress to reich wing nuts. The pity party continues with phrases like "these colors don't run" and "bushbashing." Any challenge to a Republican is tantamount to treason, but they are allowed to play any kind of uncivil politics they want.

23. This Is The "Turning Of The Corner"
You connect the dots very nicely and aptly describes the "Southern Strategy" that turned the GOOP into the Hate party. Rarely do you hear them say they're FOR something.

The party I speak of is the first of two steps...almost like going through withdrawl. This is the beginnning of the denial phase...denying the polls really are saying what they're saying or that "little mistakes" have been made. This was no little mistake.

The "Turning the corner" spin was the first we've seen the media really highlight and laugh at. Then came that goofy line last week about fighting the war on terra...and it's becoming obvious the manchild isn't quite the candidate Rove and HIS handlers thought they had or could mold.

Rove has never really had to defend a candidate with a record...only attack, and some in the GOOP are starting to wake up that this election could not only be lost, but lost big.

Next part will be the blame game...I suspect that starts when Bunnypants gets almost no bounce from the GOOP whorefest. If anything I could see his numbers dropping...with some giving him one last chance to keep their vote.

Maybe we've reached the beginning of the end of the right wing's grasp on the political agenda of this country. I've been waiting for this for over 30 years!
