He identified O'neil in the phot with Richard Nixon and Charles Colson (God knows they would never do anything underhanded) but Pat Buchanan says the extra pair of shoes in the "photo" may have belonged to himslef.

Does this book have any footnotes? There should be some reference to official documents. Anything less suggests inaccuracies.

It seems to me that there might be a good number of swift boat veterans allied with the Republican party. Would KKKarl Rove be above using them to establish this red herring? I suspect that behind the scenes Rove is cranking the machine. This seems like a typical dirty trick, ala Nixon.

Maybe we need to check on the qualifications and the medals of the group. I suspect that many might not want to be "outed" or connected with this crap, when it sinks.
