I think Atrios has links to a short bit in a column where the writer points out that Bush also claimed to have played on the Yale varsity rugby team, while a Yale spokeswoman says that Yale has never had a varsity team.

20. Here's what a Bush apologist/lover/kool aid drinker said about it:

George's momentum is away from the opponent and his attention appears to be away from the opponent. You can see fingers on his right hand are visible, suggesting that his hand is not formed into a fist. And wouldn't you be looking at someone you're trying to hit? More likely, he's off balance and trying to stay on his feet.

22. I've seen other pics of Bush trying to make a fist. He can't do it.

There was a great picture here a few weeks ago where he was "punching the air". The position of his fingers and thumb were such that if he actually did hit something, he'd do some serious damage...to himself.

This asshole probably broke something when he hit that kid. Maybe his drug and alcohol problems started in order to self-medicate a hand injury.
