3. You don't think that was her REAL hair color?
Oh my. Ten bucks says cuffs and collar don't match.

She was just totally flat. Can't imagine why she would be invited to all the chi-chi parties.

2. she is completely empty
some here say she is a liberal but that is bs. to her politics is all about presonalities and entertainment. this woman is still living in senior year at stuckup high. i despise her.

5. She puzzles me
In her writing, she often can't seem to make up her mind and she's an equal opportunity offender as far as other females. The stuff she writes about them almost always sounds catty and superficial.

Sometimes her columns are brilliant, like when she sticks to uncovering fascism and questioning Shrub's Iraq policies, but she came off as a flake/airhead on TDS. And regardless of who wins in November, she'll be happy 'cause she can always focus on the shallow side of things political (just my own $.02 worth).

7. jon mime laffed!
at her goofy joke about 'daiquari's'!
ahem...you hadda see it!
-she said friedman (that 'nicest man') sometimes gets so fed up with national politics he drops into howdy's office and says 'let's get some daiquaris!
jon was rotflhao!

>dowdy acted ashamed of herself; but her new doorstopper needs promo i guess...
she said she went fishin' with geeb and the missus...jon asked 'where were you watching from, how far away were yall' (meaning was she part of the fishing party, in the boat?) and howdy squirmed outta answering saying 'this far' (her position viz TDS desk and stewart)!!!
>Jon called douchebag Novak a 'black hearted...' something etc!
jon also calls President Clinton "President Clinton"

Bill Clinton was so magnificent monday night....wow

8. She had an odd sort of charm on the show...
Edited on Wed Aug-11-04 09:46 PM by LowerManhattanite
...kinda like that of a weary business-class traveler you'd meet in a USAir terminal—done with her corporate convention, Feriá red hair just a little disheveled from crappy hotel sleep and more than a bit hung-over/jet-lagged. Her full purse clinking with the sound of filched bottles of Tanqueray and Johnnie Walker Red from her room's mini-bar. Sleepy-eyed and droning blasé talk from her, interspersed with giggles and half-assed flirting. Flight's delayed four hours and you're practically the only ones left at O'Hare—they won't give you cots or blankets.

Her eyes keep drifting over to the faux-leather seats behind the closed Cinnabon. You wonder why...and then you realize it's a spot where no one on the other side would see you if the two of you were there. Aaaaah, why not? She smells clean.

Yeah. That kind of charm. :)

12. She tries to be a Joan Didion
But she's closer to a Cindy Adams.

Nice scenario, by the way. Very imaginative.
