GWB's "positive" ad and fun for dem felines!

I found the Bush* one on a random trip to Petsmart about a week ago, and my cat absolutely loves it...or hates it, I can't really tell

It's really quite amusing to see him fight with it for a while, then carry it triumphantly around the apartment to hide it under a random chair.

On to the point that has nothing to do with the topic title!

While watching the local news earlier this evening, a positive ad from our dear old pResident came on. With his really creepy smile plastered on his face, he blathered on about reform this and reform that and how he was going to change things if he gets elected, blah, blah, blah...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it bad form for the incumbent to play the reform card? Isn't it his f-ing fault that the country is in the state it's in today? Do they think anyone with half a brain stem is going to buy into this garbage?

My roommate and I just looked at each other and busted out laughing after it was over xD

1. Reform...
I noticed that, too.
Reform is an extremely stale tool, used by challengers, which is always gobbled up by voters.
What's Bush* going to reform? Himself?
I think that's their message.
And I think people are stupid enough to fall for it.

2. So in a roundabout way...
he's inadvertently admitting that he made mistakes?

I think I'm reading a bit too much into it...or it could be that it's so late

3. It's going to be like a Simpsons gag...
He's going to go on the air and exploit American cultural amnesia by saying he's a "compassionate conservative", and the people will gobble it up.

"Oh, America could use some compassion in this time of division."
"A compassionate man can't be THAT bad."
"A compassionate person would NEVER mislead us into a pointless war for oil."

it'll be a hoot.

5. No, the joke won't be on US.
The joke is on THEM. 'Them' who stupidly, blindly, deafly believe in him.

The joke is on them.

Unfortunately for us, if 'them' doesn't wake up,
WE get the boobie prize.
