that I can buy 3 Conservative books for $1 dollar each: hannity's book deliver us from weevils (evil), coulters non-reason (treason) and some book titled dereliction of facts (of duty). All 3 for 3 bucks. I don't ever see Franken's books or Moore's books sold in mint condition for 1 buck each.

Scaife funds the author, who actually writes the screed. Then he buys them in bulk and sells them cheap, or just gives them away.

Mass distribution of cheap books is a longtime conservative organizing tactic. All those groups that Richard Viguerie set up in the 1970s send free paperbacks to everybody on their mailing list and then encourage them to buy the books by the case for mass distribution. They put out a lot of bilge that way, books attacking Al Gore, Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, environmentalists, the Panama Canal giveaway etc.

Looks like they've moved beyond the cheap little paperbacks and are trying to get the big name authors mass distribution too. Where is all this right wing money coming from?
