MADISONVILLE (WATE) -- A Madisonville mother-to-be says the government isn't helping her while her husband serves with the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment. She has gestational diabetes and she's expecting twins.

Annel McCullouch met her husband, John, almost eight years ago. He was stationed in Yuma, Arizona. She lived across the border in San Luis, Mexico.

They're about to have twin girls but Annel's pregnancy isn't going as planned since she learned she has gestational diabetes.

Annel's doctor says she must stay off her feet. "He don't want me to walk. He just wants me to go to the bathroom and come back and take five minute showers and come back and lay down."

Her sister-in-law, Toni Ferguson, makes daily trips to deliver lunch to Annel. However, Toni's handicapped and she struggles to even make it up the stairs.

Her husband John is stationed with the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, training in Camp Shelby, Mississippi while they prepare for a mission in Iraq.

Annel's mother-in-law, Peggy, is a widow and has to work.
