snip....

NASHVILLE (AP) -- The Republican Party has disowned the GOP nominee for the Eighth District congressional seat because of his views on race.

James Hart believes that "less favored races" should be discouraged from reproducing or immigrating to the United States.

The executive committee of the state GOP adopted a resolution over the weekend calling James Hart's support of eugenics as "abhorrent and outrageous."

Hart won the Republican primary last week with more than 80 percent of the vote over write-in candidate Dennis Bertrand, who got into the race when it became clear no mainstream Republican would be on the ballot.

1. Has anyone seen James Hart's campaign website yet?

It has got to be seen to be believed.

Hart is running against Democratic incumbent John Tanner (D-TN). Fortunately Tanner is in no danger of losing his seat, especially to this nutcase.

he is just as bad as Zell Miller. I can see why the GOP has distanced itself.......

3. Even Zell wouldn't spout pseudo-scientific bullshit like this
I'll give Miller at least that much credit. This guy is living in cloud-cuckoo land, and I can't believe it took the GOP a whole week to give him the heave-ho.

4. If the Repubs start tossing people in their party based on racial
hostility towards Blacks, Hispanics, Middle Easterners, etc...there will only be the Big Business types left. The interesting thing to note here is that racist nutjobs like this guy feel that they ARE represented by the GOP. Do you guys think he is the exception to the rule, or just more vocal about his feelings than most Freepers?
