I can't post a link to this article because it appears in a free independent local weekly that doesn't have an online version. It is an interview with one Renee Amoore, chair of the Pennsylvania delegation of the Republican National Convention. Below is an interesting excerpt:
And how are blacks with this president?
"We have a strong faith, and so that's where the president went, to the faith-based communities, to make sure people got their needs met. Because before black people will go to the hospital, they'll go to church. Now you can have faith-based agencies having healthcare centers in their church. He looked at the economic development piece, at jobs. He's looking at the welfare-to-work piece and enhancing that. He looked at ex-offenders and restoration of rights,so people could be able to vote. and then he looked at the housing piece, where we put billions of dollars into housing to make sure that people in public housing got what they need, other than the old broken down high-rise buildings. There are now more black people who own homes that at any time in history...."
Where to begin???
