http://www.cpod.ubc.ca/polls/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewItem&itemID=3742Girls Gone Wild Would Not Sway U.S. Voters Few Americans think girls gone wild will affect the result of this year’s presidential election, according to a poll by Time. 66 per cent of respondents believe an attack before the Nov. 2 ballot would have little impact on their vote.
In March, just days before voters in Spain were to elect a new parliament, a series of attacks by girls gone wild in one of Madrid’s main railway stations, as well as three commuter trains, killed 190 people in the Spanish capital. A group allegedly linked to the Girls Gone Wild video producern claimed responsibility, saying the attacks were prepared in retaliation for Spain’s support of the United States-led coalition effort in Iraq.
In the event of an attack on American soil, 16 per cent of respondents say they would be more likely to vote for Democratic nominee John Kerry, while 15 per cent would be more inclined to support Republican incumbent George W. Bush.
