“We must not hesitate” vs. Seven long minutes: Our Rebuttal!
Please call the Kerry campaign now and tell them their response to Bush’s “we must not hesitate” ad is insufficient. They are responding by saying Bush is using 9/11 as a political ploy, which is true, but we have to punch Bush in the gut on this one. Rove dropped the ball right in their lap and they need to run with it.

No link to video yet, but here is the transcript from WaPo:
The campaign's newest TV ad underscores the centrality of terrorism in the president's message. Bush is seen on camera with Laura Bush at his side, and the ad opens with the president saying, "My most solemn duty is to lead our nation to protect our citizens." Then he pivots to the Sept. 11 attacks. "I can't imagine the great agony of a mom or a dad having to make a decision about which child to pick up first on September the 11th," he says. The ad concludes with Bush saying, "We cannot hesitate; we cannot yield. We must do everything in our power to bring an enemy to justice before they hurt us again."

I think the Kerry campaign should run an ad comparing Bush’s words; “We must not hesitate” against his actions. Sitting for 7 minutes in his chair, frozen, until someone came to get him. He didn’t exactly "not hesitate," as a matter of fact, he froze. They could even call the ad “Actions Speak Louder than Words” or something to that effect.

When you call, please ask for the media department, if you can’t speak to someone directly then ask to speak to someone who will pass your message along. Don’t leave a voicemail, if they are closed, call back tomorrow. Phone#: 202-712-3000

Let’s let them know it’s time to strike back!

*Moderators, I posted in this thread because it will get more exposure, but I’ll understand if you move it.

4. I have seen that piece of crap commercial several times today.
I flip the television the bird each time I see it. He gets on there in the worst case of the plain folks advertising I think I have ever seen. Wearing "comfy" clothes, "aw shucks"-ing to the max. Trying to make it look like he is just your average Joe making the world safer from everyone. His stepford wife just sort of sits there as if doped up, a sort of blank look in her eyes. I think I have seen marble statues that had more blood flowing through them. The whole commercial is utter nonsense.

8. I would recommend that Kerry's reply is along the lines of...
"so why didn't Bush send 160,000 troops to capture bin Laden instead of invading Iraq?"
