"We're going to war, why do we even worry about all this contrary stuff?"
The "contrary stuff" "journalist" Thomas Ricks was referring to happened to be something called THE TRUTH - which is comprised of those messy details most often referred to as FACTS.

Washington Post Managing Editor Bob Woodward brought a tear to my eye when he explained how he was essentially kicking himself now "for not pushing harder." Woodward, (who we all well know, had helped break and uncover the Watergate story, before he went on to become a complete, shameless whore) lamented thusly:

"We should have warned readers we had information that the basis for this (war) was "shakier" than many believed."

Translation: "We should have warned readers that we knew that the Bush Administration's basis for war against Iraq was COMPLETE BULLSHIT - BASED ENTIRELY ON LIES!!"

This is how far Woodward, The Washington Post, and the American media as a whole has sunk - to the point where they have become a media that would have accommodated and suited Adolph Hitler just perfectly!
