local ABC station is running with it, and not talking about much else.

A sexual assault lawsuit is apparently being filed, and that left him no choice but to come out and quit. Nobody knows much about the details of the suit, but he knows it's all over now.

I guess everybody's seen his statement by now on the national news, and it was impressive. I think a lot more of him now than I did before.

WABC's coverage is extremely sympathetic to McG. They're finding people in three states who like the guy and say his sexuality is nobody's business. His staff is apparently devasted over this. The talking heads seem genuinely sorry the whole thing is happening.

He's not resigning because of his sexuality. He's resigning for much more complex reasons than that, the details of which will come out soon.
