Did Ayatollah Sistani cut a deal with bush ??
among Iraq Shiites, Sistani is the big kahuna ... He's Mr. Shiite ...

has he made a deal with the U.S. ?? is he CIA ?

i don't get it ... Sadr builds a resistance movement and Sistani sits with his millions of followers on the sidelines ... the U.S. installs its little puppet government and Sistani makes little chipmunk noises but does nothing ...

and just a few days before the ceasefire broke down between the U.S. and Sadr, Sistani needs to go to London to get his heart checked out ... coincidence?? i doubt it ... one of the holiest shiite shrines in Iraq may come under U.S. attack and Sistani's gone off to see the Royal Ballet or something ...

Anyone have a clue, or at least a theory, about what's up with Sistani ??

4. the simple answer is ...
no ...

if a deal's been made, i doubt anyone would want it publicized ... if Sistani were seen making deals with the evil Americans, he wouldn't last long ...

London is probably not much better but no way would Sistani come to the U.S. ...

2. It's curious
OTOH, heart attacks can also be provoked with a dose of digitalis....especially in those with existing heart problems.

Wouldn't be the first time.

3. An interesting question, but cannot be answered at present.
You can at least see the logic of it, al Sadr is somewhat a
thorn in the side of both, but al Sistani would need political
cover to stand aside while al Sadr was "disposed of".
