OMG. Houston's hit&run scientist & arson-gunshot lobbyist were SAME day.

This is so creepy.

Last November I took note of the weird death of Ross Allyn, a lobbyist, who died of a gunshot wound in his house in Houston that burned down, hours after telling a friend he was worried that his phones were bugged. He is believed to have died on November 20 -- they found his body the next morning.

In January the hit-and-run death of Robert Leslie Burghoff caught my eye, because he was a chemist working in microbiology, and I'd read once or twice about the 'dead microbiologists' incidents. Mr. Burghoff was walking on the sidewalk in broad daylight in the Medical Center area in Houston, when a white van ran over him and left the scene. It happened on November 20th, but they didn't write about it in the Chronicle until January.

I just noticed that these 2 bizarre murders actually happened on the same day.

I know this is a violent city, and hey, it's probably a coincidence. But.

At the very least, I am really sick of feeling that murders are not being investigated. Who is accountable? How do we as citizens know that our police & D.A.'s are doing their jobs on this important question of solving homicides? I'm not placing blame -- heck, maybe they don't have the right resources. Who knows?

1. Hmm
Though I agree they were odd, I believe Thanksgiving was actually November 27th. Not to diminish your observation...

The deaths of so many biologists in the past few years has been really intriguing and has received only scant attention aside from Coast to Coast AM.

5. The dates were both November 20th...
I think you are right -- Nov 20th wasn't Thanksgiving -- but the murders did both happen on November 20.

9. What a "coincidence"
Like I said, this has definitely been discussed a few times on Coast to Coast. Try a google on "dead microbiologists" and you'll find some interesting stuff. What amazes me is that this has some evaded the media radar....well, I guess not so amazing considering what we know of the major news organizations. If you don't mind, I will email your post to George Noory. He might even mention it on the radio.

Also, try searching for dead scientists on this site: http://stevequayle.com/

14. I don't mind but not sure it's relevant since only 1 was a scientist
and they already have that 1, I'm pretty sure.

The other one was a high-profile lobbyist who had been around for years, had been accused of fraud but claimed innocence in a case where others were convicted.
Also he was gay, so could have been a victim of homophobic hate.

2. Your links aren't quite right
You forgot the colon in http:/ /

But this catches my eye. Has there been any investigation at all into these deaths? It would seem that the spectacular and unusual nature of their deaths would merit more than the glance that it sounds like it got (from your post).

3. Thanks, I fixed it. How do we know if investigations go anywhere?
Ever? They had a followup article on each of these saying the Crimestopper rewards had been increased due to family & friends putting up money for it, but that's it.

4. Can you enquire with the local police department?
It seems like there should be something that you can do...

6. Weird!
Pretty crazy stuff..
Can anyone give some context for this? As in, why would these folks be targetted at that time?

7. Not much investigation

but here is an interesting link.

http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/deadbiologists.html

It's interesting, and many of these guys have been linked to
a particular program, but I don't think any investigation
into a conspiracy or organized attempt to commit murder has
ever been undertaken by any authority.

Course, could all just be a big coincidence, too.

11. I did some more investigation

And couldn't find any linkage for Ross Allyn and the stuff listed
in the microbiologist plots.

Found this on Burghoff:

------------------------------------------------
http://houston.indymedia.org/news/2004/01/25395.php

Robert Leslie Burghoff, 45, a postdoctoral fellow at Baylor College of
Medicine's molecular virology and microbiology department.

Burghoff, a father of three who lived in The Woodlands, had been
studying the Norwalk virus plaguing cruise ships.

------------------------------------------------

I think there was another outbreak of this just this week at
some conference at a Hotel. Started looking around on the web,
and was surprised at the number of outbreaks of Norwalk or Norwalk
like viruses in the US recently.

Then there is the outbreak of a Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever
on the Afghan / Pakistan border earlier this year... at least
70 people infected. Weird. I guess that a Mujahadeen fighter
from Africa could have traveled to Afghanistan, but it's worth
noting for other reasons.

I don't believe every conspiracy theory that comes along... but
there is some really weird shit going on right now.

Just another conspiracy nut chipping in her two cents worth. Go now.
