The Democrats ruled in Santa Monica today.
Clear Channel bussed in a bunch of Bush supporters for the Bush event. But then the Democrats showed up in massive numbers with amplification and dramatically outnumbered and outshouted them. Bush was supposed to travel right past his supporters but wound up taking a different route because of all the opposition. At an apartment building at the top of the T-shaped intersection giant multi-story banners opposing Bush had been hung along with other large anti-Bush signs. It was clear that no one in that complex liked the dictator. Our side was awesome. The Republicans wound up giving up and leaving.

1. This needs to happen everywhere
No more hiding behind this loyalty oath/restricted access crap. If there are enough people willing to yell loud enough, we can disrupt anything. Kerry has to deal with it, and I think it's time Bushie got shaken out of his ivory tower - and people see it on TV.

6. Bush should get the Hell out of California and stay out.
I did pass the Kerry/Edwards buses on the 210 freeway and really got excited. There were quite a lot of them and it was very impressive.

7. Aw, MAN! bush should know better than to try to venture into
Santa Monica! I knew he was stooopid but THIS is beyond all imaginings. It is NOT his turf. Never will be his turf. Santa Monica will self-immolate before it votes republi-CON. Which is why I love it there! Santa Monica will CREATE the big earthquake and allow itself to be swallowed by the sea before it will EVER vote republi-CON. You drive through there and virtually all you ever see are anti-bush or pro-Kerry or pro-peace or anti-war bumper stickers. I think I've seen one pro-bush for every 30 pro-Kerry/anti-bush stickers. My kinda town!

12. Santa Monica is only about 15 minutes from me...I go there
at least twice a month. In fact, I'm going to be going to go there this weekend.... Love the city, love the people....Definitely NOT the place for * to be. It'd be like Kerry going to Odessa!
