Republican Congressman Porter Goss is a Bush yes-man who has a history of doing whatever Bush tells him. If he becomes director of the CIA, he could help back Bush's claims that Venezuela or Iraq or Cuba needs to be attacked or help Bush launch another terrorist attack before the election. He will also be in a position to order the destruction of the proof that Bush committed treason in outing Valerie Plame. The CIA is Bush's last real opponent. Goss will neutralize them and place them soundly under Bush's control.
