Prediction: If the hurricane(s) do damage to Florida
They receive an unprecendented amount of emergency funding from Bush. With lots of fanfare and visits from the Shrub promising them the world.

Latest polls show Kerry ahead in FL. Bush would do anything to change that. Even use a hurricane to further himself.

1. And don't forget FEMA . . .

which would then set them up for martial law.

Damn, I keep hoping I'll become hopeful rather than cynical.

Maybe next year.

3. kerry could always respond by attacking Bush as a flip-flopper
I mean, isn't FEMA just as much "Big Government" as any other bureaucracy?
but we're asking a Democrat to attack... maybe it's a little too much

5. I hope Pat Robertson prays that it hits Florida...
Every time he prays for a storm to destory a place he dislikes, Viriginia Beach gets zonked.

6. I wish I lived in Florida right now
I bet you can get any amount of money you want for "damages" from the loving and caring Bush brothers after this storm. You know, "it blew down my pup tent and I need $20,000 to replace it".........

7. You're probably right about the funding
One the other hand, we don't have too many National Guard members here anymore, they're all in Iraq. So, if there's an Andrew-like disaster, it could really be a problem without NGer's
