10. Sorry.
I thought that with the zillion posts about him that you were.

As others have mentioned, he had a press conference to announce that he had a gay affair and is resigning effective November 15th.

11. Well I just got back online an hour ago
My modem was acting up, and I didnt go to work today because I couldnt get in without my security badge, so newswise I was pretty fucked. Yeah I know now, very interesting. New Jersey has been a hotbed for problems for the party lately, the whole Bob Torreceli mess two years back.

12. Yes, for a "small" state, they sure manage to have some big-time
politic problems, eh?

While I'm sure the Republicans will milk this one for what it's worth (for at least a few days), I don't expect much of an effect nationally.

14. its Jersey
doesnt it have a large mob presence hence corruption. I doubt it will have a big effect national either, kind of sad that this guy didnt know who he was sexually though, but the corruption if it did happen is sick.

2. The moron was having an affair with someone of the same gender
he then put said person in charge of homeland security for New Jersey, and proceeded to sexually harass the man, and is now going to be sued for doing this.

that Ive been offline at home for a while, and I got it fixed today, I would have found out had I gone to work but alas my badge suddenly disappeared, no one at the office to get me too, it was fucked up. Yeah, I get teased for the same things your niece gets. Its the whole area down here thats called the cave though.

15. I'd like to think he could
there are openly gay politicians (Barney Frank) who have done really well. The people who wouldn't vote for him being a homosexual weren't going to vote for him anyway since he was a Democrat.

17. I don't think they lied to two wives and who they had chidren with.
Edited on Fri Aug-13-04 02:12 PM by saracat
This is a bit more than just coming out.And they didn't put unqualified lovers in charge of Homeland Security ! This isn't about his being gay, it's about his being an unpricipled, corrupt liar and using coming out to deflect from it! He is an insult to the gay community as he is basically saying, being gay made me do it!

18. everyone hopes
this can be focused on his being gay. I am afeared that this is much deeper than his sexuality. This is being spun to focus on his proclivities. If that was all there was this would have not been this big annoucement. There is something else here that is being covered by this smoke screen

16. depends who his opponent would be Terry
If it were someone like his opponent from last time, Bert Schroder, I think he would have won because that guy was far right now a more moderate like Christine Todd Whitman who just barely beat him the election before he won last time would beat him probably because she's more moderate.
