If, as is likely, some of the torturers at Abu Ghraib are CIA
should Seymour Hersh be jailed if he identifies them?

2. I ask
because a lot of people here (I'd venture to say most) believe unequivocally that journalists should be jailed for identifying CIA agents.

I'm curious as to whether it applies to Hersh or only conservative journalists.

3. BTW, where is seymore? Haven't heard anything lately.
I thought I heard he was supposed to have another article soon, but that seems like it was months ago.

but it all depends on the mitigating circumstances as well.

like novak OUTING an agent who was acting in good faith upholding her constitutional duties AND trying to protect the american people from WMDS fer christ sake vs the TOTRTURES and WAR CRIMMINALS if the legit gov FAILS to act... shoot then the UN could step in or the ICC.

well, thats how it looks from the cheap seats ;->

peace

6. And you think
the government would let YOU decide what the good reasons are and what the bad reasons are?

5. Are they UNDERCOVER CIA agents?
Or are they just CIA employees? That's what the law is all about. Personally, I don't care about the journalist's political affiliation. I highly doubt, by the way, that the torturers at Abu Ghraib were undercover operatives, just some assholes w/ jumper cables and german shepards.

8. I've heard that some are MI
it's possible that others are CI. I've heard MI and "private contractors." Does anyone have information indicating CI was involved?
