I don't know if you can look upon pre-screening people negatively, but it sure can't come off well. While Kerry actually has to deal with hecklers because he won't make admission to one of his events using gestapo-like tactics, Bush does not allow dissent. Instead he gets a whole bunch of idiots to kiss his ass for a couple of hours and does not try to get his message out to anyone that isn't part of the choir.
