BUSH UNEMPLOYED 10 YEARS?
Did Bush ever have a job between his AWOL "service" and Reagans 2nd term when he started ripping off his Dads cronies? Between 1973 and 1983 Bush was unemployed......right? The only job Ive ever heard of him holding was at sears for a couple months in the 60s. WHY ISNT THIS AN ISSUE?

3. yeah, he couldn't find oil in texas
the bush have a long history of getting involved in huge corporations and ruining them and running off with the shareholders dough. enron, worldcom, and the siverado savings and loan, where several bush brothers, george, jeb, niel, and marvin bush, ripped off the banks for over 5 billion. AND GOT AWAY WITH IT. hell, nobody seems to remember it.

5. why aren't all his failed businesses an issue,
Edited on Sat Aug-14-04 09:34 AM by stellanoir
or the family farm he ripped off for his beloved baseball stadium, or the SEC violations at Harkin energy, or what he did to the environment and the economy as Governor, or any of the ample examples of the fact that the guy is and always has been a walking train wreck?

Media whores I can't stand 'em.

8. On TV, Kerry and Edwards got very little coverage this week
Meanwhile, Dirty Dick was trotted out on CNN to trash Kerry for using the word, "sensitive."

Kerry did get some unfavorable coverage on the PBS "News" Hour yesterday. With some slick editing, they had a pseudo-debate with selected video clips and soundbites between Kerry and Bush. Their selections and ordering gave a considerable comparative advantage to Bush.

12. The Ballpark at Arlington would be a fun "flip-flop" issue
The Ballpark at Arlington was financed through bond sales; these bonds were repaid through, IIRC, an increase in the hotel tax.

One of the head lobbyists: one George Walker Bush, co-owner of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club.

Bush will push for tax cuts when they benefit him and his rich friends, and he will push for tax increases when they benefit him and his rich friends.

The Repugs have been attending Kerry rallies with flip-flops in their hands. Would you DUers who attend Bush protests start carrying them too?

14. Not only that but private property was condemned
so Bush & pals could take it for their stadium. The families who lost their property had to sue to get a fair price. And Bush bought in with a very small stake and then was generously awarded a much larger stake by his partners when the team was sold. There's a whole can of worms in Bush's Texas Rangers deal - do a little googling and you'll see. The pals who handed him all that cash did very well off the state, later on when Bush became governor.

13. Bush dumped $848,560 of Harken stock...
while he worked for the company, after being informed that Harken was in financial crisis. This left small shareholders holding the bag. He also failed to disclose the stock sale to the SEC.

Not only does he have a history of being an incompetent businessman, but he has a history of dishonesty.
