That's what this site thinks:

Terror alert for Pope's pilgrimage to Lourdes
Posted Aug 14, 2004 09:29 AM PST
Let's see, Al Qaeda (nudge nudge wink wink) announces they are going to assasinate a world leader before the next terror attack on the US. And we have the Pope, who is not expected to live much longer anyway, heading out on an announced trip to Lourdes with, get this, only four of his Swiss Guards. Four. Count 'em, four. Even JFK had more SS around him when he got nailed.

So, if Al Qaeda (nudge nudge wink wink) whacks his holinessness, who does it help? On whose side in the global wars would the Catholics come in on? www.whatreallyhappened.com

2. Excuse me??? A little ageism here?
How old (or young) do you have to be to be a valid target! He's the head of a major religious group...no matter how old he is, I think that makes him a vaild target.

4. Not ageism. Realism. If they want to cause real impact, they probably
would attack somebody for whom there are not 100+ curia people just eagerly waiting for him to die. The Vatican has had the structure and measures ready for his death for years.
