2. Well, let's see how they do the story first.
I don't trust the media at all now.

3. This, dear heaven, could end up being "the time"
..i.e, the time to show the nation that: a) this is what happens when you totally fuck up a war and leave the homeland unprotected with National Guard; b) this is what happens when you drain this country dry with pandering to the repub elite and cutting taxes so that governmental units are understaffed and underequipped; c) this is what the real, in human terms, results are of "compassionate conservatism". Maybe this will end up exposing the rot of this whole republican take over of this country.

5. let's not use their fascist word though (homeland) - it just bolsters
the Bush/Cheney motherland mindset.

8. I hate that word, too. It turns out that I have
a friend who is an organic farmer who has that word on his honey labels.."Homeland Honey"..I guess it didn't bother him.

It just seems so nasty in conjunction with bush and his brown shirts.

9. it's much sweeter in your friend's context, for sure. I bet he doesn't
have a flag on his label.

6. You are right if the whole story is told.
I think there are bodies and guards are keeping people from photographing them.

7. All is well in Florida....MSNBC...useless report.
There were only about 6 shelters for our whole county this....and I remember when they used to be all over town.

We have a large county, very spread out. Lakeland is the only city with more than one shelter, and its population is over 80,000 close to 100,000.

Not having available shelters means traveling further, hard for the elderly or poor or disabled.
