a revelatory thought: why the heck doesn't nader run for congress
if he really does want to make a difference. that way, his base could actually shore up some power. he'd probably win, too, depending on where he ran from.

or, maybe, its just about him. its been really annoying to watch someone who i agree with on so many issues fall from grace.

1. City Council of Whitlash.

Then he could work his way up to County Commissioner.

I'd be so proud of him.

3. I'm one of those people who doubts Nader's sincerity.
I really think he is a tool of the corporations and his mission is to destroy not champion progressive changes.

5. I don't think Nader could get elected anywhere
Getting elected requires some social skills. Nader lacks social skills.

8. As a legislator, he'd have to be willing to compromise
Even presidents have to do that, and it's obvious to me now that it's Ralph's way or the highway. Same as the ShrubCo cowboys; they and Nader are like opposite sides of a coin. Government by either of them is guaranteed to be a disaster.

Anyway, I'm willing to bet that Ralph's been approached before about running for Congress and he would already have tried that if he were willing.

I think his whole thing is to have the satisfaction that there are SOME people out there who would vote for him instead of Kerry OR Bush. Therefore, if he is not delusional in thinking he will win or that he won't throw the election to *, then he is one of the most self-centered and self-serving people in the WORLD. Think about it. He's willing to do that to his fellow Americans and fellow citizens of the world. In my book, it's not an exaggeration to say that this makes him as SELFISH as any megalomaniac.

13. Maybe...
Nadar feels that Amerika should be ruled by the Neo Fascists for 4 more years because this may wake up enough Amerikans to how screwed over they have allowed themselves to be by both the Repubs and Dems?

14. Possibly
I used to think that sometimes too (usually when I'd had too much to drink), but events of the last 4 years have proven that most Americans are far too ignorant and willing to be misled into giving up what freedoms and protections that they have left against the right wing corporatists to ever wake up that way. I doubt that even another great depression would be enough....

17. Because the GOP wouldn't help him run for Congress
They are helping him run for President-getting him on state ballots, probably sending him funds, all those sleazy things that the GOP has been doing since Nixon.
