Even presidents have to do that, and it's obvious to me now that it's Ralph's way or the highway. Same as the ShrubCo cowboys; they and Nader are like opposite sides of a coin. Government by either of them is guaranteed to be a disaster.

Anyway, I'm willing to bet that Ralph's been approached before about running for Congress and he would already have tried that if he were willing.

I think his whole thing is to have the satisfaction that there are SOME people out there who would vote for him instead of Kerry OR Bush. Therefore, if he is not delusional in thinking he will win or that he won't throw the election to *, then he is one of the most self-centered and self-serving people in the WORLD. Think about it. He's willing to do that to his fellow Americans and fellow citizens of the world. In my book, it's not an exaggeration to say that this makes him as SELFISH as any megalomaniac.

I used to think that sometimes too (usually when I'd had too much to drink), but events of the last 4 years have proven that most Americans are far too ignorant and willing to be misled into giving up what freedoms and protections that they have left against the right wing corporatists to ever wake up that way.
