Has anyone heard of a book? Mission Not Accomplished:....
...How George Bush lost the War on Terrorism. By William Turner. I read a little of that book in Barnes and Noble. It takes many swipes at Bush. It also mentioned that LBJ lied about the Gulf of Tonkin, saying that the North Vietnamese attacked us when they didn't. Doing this to escalate American involvement in Vietnam. As bad as the start of Iraq was, what is the difference between that and the circumstances of the Iraq war?
1. Picked it up a couple of times the last few days, meaning to buy it.
Only to bump it for a couple of other impulse purchases. But it's up there on the list.
William Turner's one of the good guys. A former FBI special agent who left the agency in the early '60s and later assisted Jim Garrison. I have a couple of his books: The Assassination of Robert F Kennedy (his investigation in the mid-70s led him to find that Sirhan was a mind-controlled patsy) and Rearview Mirror.
