Someone please explain where in the hell Bush is moving 100,000 troops
Edited on Mon Aug-16-04 04:08 AM by Tight_rope
I've been searching up and down looking for the reason. I was wondering where the hell Rummy's been after the jail scandal. I see he was busy explaining to the Russians that they are moving American troops closer to them. I believe it was 70,000 in Germany to be moved. And I heard it was 3,500 from S. Korea going somewhere. I don't know where. But that only accounts for 73,500 troop. Where are the other 26,500 troops coming from and where are they going.

There's a great website, however, that lists all of the chickenhawks in your party. Seems the majority of your leaders are draft evaders and pussies who shirked their duty when their country called on them.

Here ya go:

http://www.nhgazette.com/cgi-bin/NHGstore.cgi?user_action=list&category=%20NEWS%3B%20Chickenhawks

Now, would you like to compare Bush's service record to John Kerry's? Haha! I thought not!

8. Hey, maybe bush* will go and finish up his duty? Even volunteer to go
active, which he should have been forced to do when he went AWOL.

9. One possible explanation:
The Puppet Media will feature much footage of troops coming home from Overseas. Flags will wave, tears will flow and loving embraces will occur as Patriotic Music swells in the background.

Fochs Noose viewers will, of course, believe that the troops are coming home from Eye Rack. bu$h will be viewed as a hero for bringing the troops home.

"Republicans good, Democrats baaaa-aaaad," will echo from our thoughtscreens.

11. Poland/East Europe and the Stans
Places they are going:

Poland. This is partly strategic, trying to get a hold on east Europe. Partly it's to punish Germany and reward Poland over Iraq. Rummy's idea.

The Stans (Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) - They've got lots of natural Gas. Russia, China, and the US are all trying to get up in there. They've also got lots of islamists and unprotected nuclear materials, but that really isn't as important.

It's funny how that Stalinist style dictator in Uzbekistan is our best friend.

13. Since the Berlin Wall dropped, Germany
has run into a big outsourcing problem as there are well educated workers in Poland and Hungary who will work much cheaper than the German workers.

These bases are another example of the outsourcing. The Poles will take just as good care of our bases as the Germans did, and they will do it much cheaper.

14. No, I don't think it's that simple
Germany pays quite a lot support for the bases, not as much as Japan though. Also the bases in Germany are evidently complete, running and have well-established relations to the civilian population and a working support infrastructure - this all has to be earned first at a new location.
What should not be forgotten is that Poland won't stay cheap forever; it is entirely possible that the prices in Poland will approach those in western Europe during the next decade.

As Poland does not offer an strategic advantage over the existing Central European bases, this is: screwing the troops, their families and the expat population near the bases.

It's a big weasel word, like "right-size" when they shrink the coke into little bottles for the same price.

We need a "weasle word index"

18. Maybe to Florida if they could get them there before Nov 2ND?
Wouldn't put it past these "cheneyers". Lots of stories about problems with troops getting overseas ballots for the election. Wouldn't it be a great coincidence if they somehow arranged for , oh say...10,000 troops to return to FL or another battleground state just in time for the election? :tinfoilhat:

I know it is not that easy. Most troops keep their residency in the state they enlisted in, regardless of where they are stationed, but I do know that quite a few claim FL since it does not have a state tax.

20. I Have A Different Take On This.
It's just been nagging me so here goes. What if this rotation isn't for foreign use at all? What if it is for domestic use. Is it possible that they are doing this in order to suppress public dissent in response to some future event... say in 2008? I say this because the reasoning being trickled out for public consumption does not add up. The two things I keep hearing are... the move will not affect deployments in Iraq/Afghanistan and they are doing it so we are better able to respond to threats abroad. My questions are: If this re-deployment is not going to Iraq/Afghanistan then where are they going and how do we respond better to threats abroad when we have brought all of our troops home? Maybe it's just the :tinfoilhat: in me but...

28. Not Enough Time.
It will take years to make this move unless they did a Vietnam style run fofr the hills. I'm thinking of two scenarios. Bush steals the 04' election, the Dem. leadership says "let's move on" and then the 08' election is canceled. Or, * loses the 04' election, Jebadiah runs in and steals the 08' election and then all hell breaks loose. That, my friend, is real :tinfoilhat: territory.

22. Or, replacements
Keep in mind that most of our troops that weren't already deployed somewhere else are either going to Iraq, in Iraq, or coming home from Iraq.

26. But 100,000 troops
is not 100,000 combat troops.

For every three troops in Germany, only one may be a combat soldier.
