Even Laura looks confused during the "which child to pick up?" commercial
It just came on for the gazillionth time. I made a conscious effort to see what she was doing during this...like a lot of folks, I think that I am so confused by his statement that I focus on him to try and glean SOME kind of sense from it.

Anyway, as soon as he says it, she kinda goes from a faraway dreamy look to a focused yet averted look, and then she looks sideways at him in a Joker-ish manner with a
:wtf:
look on her face.

Is is possible.....I mean....is PICKLES switching to Kerry?!?!?!?!?!?!

3. If you hit the "mute" button
when this ad comes on and focus on Laura this is even more apparent. This woman is either on heavy meds or suffering from a severe case of cognitive dissonance or both. When she goes to vote in November she may just have an episode of decompensation and run screaming from the room, meds notwithstanding.

9. Betcha Little Georgie came up with that phrase
all by himself. And he was SO PROUD of it that he INSISTED it be in the commercial. The Advertising Experts resisted, rightly claiming that it was ambiguous, that it wasted precious seconds and did not directly relate to the selling of the product.

But Little Georgie was adamant--and fierce in his determination that something that he had finally thought up all by himself with no help from his Bigs would damn well go IN that commercial!

He pouted. He became sullen. He stamped his cloven little hoof, threatening to take HIS FOOTBALL and go home if he did not get his way.

And the rest is Hysteria.

6. She *Always* Looks Confused
She has the look of someone who is seriously mentally deficient.

Also, someone should mention to her that ladies of a certain age do not wear bright red lipstick (especially if they have thin lips to begin with). You'd think Babs would have mentioned this to her in a way she could understand...

11. That's cuz she prolly thinks EVERYONE has evil twins like she does,
so it throws her for a minute wondering why can't you just pick both your devil's spawn up at once?

12. And those GRINS! Why are they smiling?
When he says "I can't imagine..." they've both smirking. Totally inappropriate when he's talking about murders of 3000 people. Duhbya is obviously insane. Laura is heavily medicated.

14. What I found to be interesting is that you can't help
but focus on her dour expression when the little naked emperor uses that phrase. Or maybe it's because she is a little better looking. But I don't think they realized how easy it is for the viewer to refocus their attention off the speaker and onto Pickles, who has aptly earned that name.

Regarding the comment itself: WTF? It's not as if those kids were attending school in the WTC or Pentagon (yes, I know, there is or was day care in the pentagon). I really don't understand the comment, and I have two kids.

Pickles switching to Kerry:  I love it.

16. I haven't seen the commercial, as I've really trying to watch less TV...

but I think most parents wouldn't have too much trouble deciding which child to pick up first, in that if their children are in two or more different places, you'd plan out a route with traffic, distance, no back-tracking etc. in mind. But I try to be logical about these kinds of things. Glad I haven't seen the commercial in question as it just sounds like more of the good old "9-11! 9-11! Terror! Terror! 9-11! Vote for me!" which I guess is all they can do when they have no other message.

17. I asked a Republican friend of mine
what the fuck that commercial was about because I sure as hell didn't get it and this was his reply "He's playing to his strength-foreign policy and keeping us safe from terrorists here in the U.S.!" God, these people are so fucking deluded. . . . :eyes:
