AL QAEDA! Yes, that's right, Al Qaeda.

Certainly, it couldn't be our very own Fundamentalist Christian psychos. You know, the ones who've been burning books and preaching about the horrors that the Harry Potter phenomenon has visited upon our kids.

Nevermind the fact that the threatening caller was quoted as saying "It's payback time... this is for all you've done to our women and kids."

Nope. Sounds like Al Qaeda to me! Besides, Bin Laden is always throwing around phrases like "It's payback time!" It's all those Bruce Willis movies he watches. (/SARCASM OFF)

1. I know! I know!
There's a Voldomort-Iraq-Al Qeuda connection!

UBL has been using Tom Riddle's diary as a secret hiding place to plan further attacks. They write a kidney dialysis machine into the diary and the Arabic didn't translate that well. /sarcasm off

5. Yeah, the "women" part made me think: whoever it is must be upset...
... at J.K. Rowling for setting an example as a (VERY) successful working woman, and a single mother no less! (at least she was single when writing the first books, not sure now)

Dan Quayle must be turning over in his political grave. Murphy Brown had nothing on Ms. Rowling!

7. PK is having another rally here soon.
I can't remember if it is in San Antonio or Houston.

Some men at work tried to round up my husband and talk him into attending a PK event, but he respectfully declined. I said, "Why should you go? You haven't broken any promises." I think some of those guys have fidelity or lust issues.

3. I agree it not necessarily is al qaida
We already have our own group religious fanatics who think Harry Potter is a threat to every Christian on the planet. I remember how people forwarded around an article from The Onion saying kids were turning to satanism because of HP and how the fundies freaked out
