Are there any other Presidential Elections that this is resembling?
I have heard that this election will be like 2000 all over again. I have heard that it could be like 1980. I have heard comparisons to 1992. What do you think?

1. 1932
Although even Hoover wasn't as bad as Chimp has been. Hoover had been trying to strongarm industry into rehiring workers, and it hadn't worked. Supply side never does. The money pump always works from the bottom up. Only when the marketplace exists do the rich and corporate hire people to create the goods and services to supply it.

8. If we had a Free Press and Trustworthy Voting Systems
Hell, I'm not sure it wouldn't happen with JUST Trustworthy Voting Systems.

The Amerikan Free Press is a laughable myth and the American Free Press is a relic of history.

3. 1932...
The media is way underestimating this "close" election.

It's about as far off as the prediction that Charley would hit Tampa. No one believed that hurricanes could not be more closely tracked in this day and age. And no one believes the polls can be wrong.

4. 1968 comes to mind....
But the tables have turned. In '68 the Democrats were having to defend an illegal war based on lies, and had mobs of angry protesters outside their convention.

If this years Presidential Election follows that model, Kerry will win, just as "Tricky Dick" did back in 1968.

5. Tricky Dick won by a close margin in 1968.
It was almost dead even if I remember correctly.

6. I don't remember the margin....
but I remember the crushing depression and feeling of hopelessness in the aftermath. I wanted to leave the country, but decided to stay and fight instead. I had the same feelings 4 years ago!

7. 1968
If LBJ had stayed in the race and won the nomination. Bush would be in the role of LBJ, a beleagured war president unbeloved by the base of his party fighting a seasoned, but not charasmatic opponent.
