LTTE critique requested regarding Bush & Terror
I would appreciate a fact check & blunt (if needed) critique.
>>>
George W. Bush is touting his record against terror? The Bush record, however, in fighting terrorism seems to be one of capitulation and incompetence.

Let us review this record.

First, Osama bin Laden attacks and destroys the World Trade Center in part due to his anger at US troops being in the Muslim holy land of Saudi Arabia. Bush's response to Osama's attack is to withdraw our troops soon after being attacked. Did many here not criticize the Spanish for this very thing?

Second, for years, the North Koreans have wanted the US to withdraw our troops from South Korea. For 50 years we have kept them there. But now that they have been proven to have re-started their WMD programs, Bush yesterday announces plans to withdraw our troops from South Korea. Yet another withdrawal in the face of terror. Kim Jong Il must be smiling from ear to ear.

This is on top of outing CIA NOC Valerie Plame in the midst of a WMD sting operation and just recently outing double agent Mohammed Khan, who had managed to infiltrate the highest levels of Al Qaeda. Remember, for years we have heard how hard it is to get somebody inside Al Qaeda, and then when we get somebody there, the White House blows their cover to justify an Orange Alert?

Way to go, folks. What can you do for an encore? Perhaps they will give Hawaii to Japan in response to Pearl Harbor? I truly fear another four years of these Keystone Kops in charge.

1. Just one question:
in the first paragraph, from where were our troops withdrawn?

2. all very good points. . .
beyond your "keystone cops" analogy, how about adding something like. . .

If * truly wanted to stop terrorism, he might want to knock off the bullying simplistic rhetoric and policies that have incited massive anti-American sentiment throughout the world.
