If freepers think God put Bush in the White House...
What would they think after Kerry wins the election?

That God failed them? That there is no God? Or that god is now a democrat?

From 1992 to 2000 the liberals were holding God captive in a dark basement. That's why the '90s were so much more fun than the aughts are turning out to be.

33. well, if they are scholars of scripture...
they will have to admit that God put Kerry there, just as well. The Bible does speak to leaders being ordained by God, for a time, to rule. If they know scripture, then they would have to admit, even the most evil rulers in the Bible were allowed to rule for a time to serve God's purposes...

10. If God is all-powerful, how could he ever lose to Satan?
That has always bothered me. An all-mighty, perfect being should be infallable. Why all the evil? To teach us a lesson? I'm so confused. I should stop asking questions I guess.

What about all those nice firefighters? All heathens? The police too?

Seriously, somebody posted on another board recently that the only reason her husband hasn't been laid off work is because God approves of his work. I guess everybody who was laid off f*cked up in God's eyes.

Nice Christian attitude some people have. They're fundies, by the way.

25. Satan will exist until the final battle between good and evil
Evil exists in the world in the form of Satan. God is not trying to teach us a lesson. We all have to choose - good or evil.

It is hard to explain when you put it like that! :)

26. But why allow the evil to exist?
Is God just toying with us? Does this all have to do with a snake and a piece of fruit? Why does God allow Satan to tempt his children? He played a pretty sadistic game with Job. That doesn's seem very "good" to me.

BTW, being omnipotent and omnicient is a logical impossibility.

Edited on Tue Aug-17-04 02:44 PM by Lovecrafty
As a lame duck with nothing left to lose, Bush will be more dangerous than ever. Remember his dad started Somalia and then left it all on Clinton's shoulders! Suppose Bush, in the months of November or December immediately following the election, really does try to speed up the Apocolypse and starts a serious war with North Korea or even CHINA!! He figures that will be his parting gift to Kerry!!

And if they believe evil has won, then they might just decide that America is no longer worth it and a few fundementalist in the military might decide to pull a Jack Ripper and set off a nuke or two in defencse of their "precious bodily fluids" or whatever they feel threatened!!!

things that Kerry proposes once he's president, in order to bring the rapture on sooner, and further Gawds plans. Of course by the same logic, they should have fallen in solidly behind Clinton.

They're already two steps ahead of you.

These sites are probably the most hate-filled you will find, but I think they should be required reading for any one who wants to fight this fight.

28. You don't hang with these kind of people enough
Which I am sure is just fine with you.

God gives us leaders either to judge us or to bless us. Clinton was God's judgment based on the declining morality of the country, but chose to bless us with Bush during the time we needed a strong leader (9/11)

One of the problems with simple thinking is that there is always a simple answer

America thrived under Bill Clinton. Eight years of peace and prosperity. Record surplus. Economic growth.

All that got reversed within months of Shrub taking office. Seems like God's message is loud and clear. God doesn't appear to approve of Republicans!

48. Maybe there is something to that.
Under Republicans the good and poor suffer while the bad and greedy prosper. Under Democrats, there is even keeled prosperity with falling poverty and everyone benefits. Maybe God really doesn't like Republicans and we collectively suffer for letting them take power. ;-) There, I can sound like a good Freeper.
