President Bush addressed several thousand Republican party loyalists and Boeing Company workers today at the company's Ridley Township factory, home of the Chinook helicopters used by the U.S. military in Afghanistan and Iraq.
With his sleeves rolled up and his jacket off, Bush gave a 45-minute off-the-cuff speech to an
invitation-only audience under the hot sun at the plant, which was shuttered for the day.
The President thanked the company's employees for making a contribution to the war on terrorism.
"Since Sept. 11, America has led the world and the world has changed for the better," Bush said. "We must remain steadfast in the face of those cold blooded killers. The only way to deal with them is to bring them to justice, and we are slowly making progress."
