I'm not thinking the thoughts I'm thinking because of the homosexual component of this. I'd think the same thing if the "he" was a "she".
You might have to stay with me for a minute because I'm having these "shadow" thoughts and am not quite sure what to make of them. Perhaps someone here can make sense of them.
-I know that a sexual predator boss can threaten an employee with firing/not working again to get favors and it is a horrible situation.
-I do not know if this guy originally was an employee of the State of NJ or became one after he became McGreevey's lover. And I recognize that when you are talking about someone in the political power position of a govenor and a govenor of a politically powerful state, it doesn't matter if you are a state employee or if you work for AT&T--you can become a victim.
-I realize that once a person has to "perform" for the boss that a dynamic changes. The victim has a certain amount of power. They can (especially if this is a political position) demand promotions, higher pay, etc. And/or a greatful predator can bestow favors on his conquest---always having that 'fire' and 'never work again' power over them.
-But, there is something different about this situation. Whatever of the above happened this guy ended up in a Homeland Security for the State of NJ position which means he could have access to a lot of sensitive info. Did McGreevey suggest/reward him with this position or is this the position that the guy told McGreevey he wanted/demanded in return for silence??? And, of course, this "guy" was an Israeli national who is now back in Israel with his family and not exactly living in poverty.
-What's up?? I smell McGreevey set up and used for 'purposes'. Right now Israel loves Bush. McGreevey sits on a state where political battles have gone on and which the Bush would love to get in his column. But, then, there is the ever nagging question of how much Israel is into "running" the USA, it's intelligence, etc.
Bottom line------what the hell is going on here???? This isn't a simple "my employer got sex from me" case. What are the inernational/intelligence gathering/spy/whatever implications here?? I smell SPY---but was that with or without this administration's help??
