Isn't voting for *!!!! Wanna know why???

You guys are absolutely going to love this, it's something we discuss here often, and it's something that fucking dumbfounds us as to why everyone doesn't see it. Why isn't she voting for *? "The man is an idiot. He's an embarrassment"

I was like this :D when I heard it. And isn't it really the most obvious reason not to vote for Bush? Even if you agree with him on every issue, it's hard to miss the fact that he's in WAY over his head.

Now I have to work on her about throwing her support to Kerry!

1. If that won't work, just get her to either stay home or vote third party
We don't always need to shoot for the moon.

3. I don't know..
I think there are a TON of republicans out there just like her who are really ashamed of this admin. We're talking about people here who like to think they have a claim on the "righteousness" of the office or whatever. You know, all the reasons they hated Clinton's guts for 8 years. Now we have someone in there who makes Clinton look like a choir boy, and I think they hate it. The more honest ones will admit it (like my neighbor) but I believe there are others, a LOT of others who are holding their tongues, just waiting for election day.

4. That's an easy one....
The fact is... people like to be comfortable.
Humans will go through a great deal to avoid serious discomfort.
The EASIEST thing to do is to 'refashion reality', or rather, assume a position whose stamina is based on anything but pertinent facts.
To live in denial is the easiest way to live a 'Double-plus-good' life.
It is remarkable how much of one's own intuition and perception one would subvert in order to maintain a state of (albeit anxious) contentment.
It is easier to construct a perception than it is to weather the fact that our destinies are in the hands of an abject ignoramus.

5. There are plenty of them sloshing around, all full of Kool-Aid
Who will say exactly these words:

"But he surrounds himself with smart, experienced people, just like a smart CEO ought to!"

Forgetting, of course, that the United States isn't a badly-run baseball team or an unprofitable oil company ... or any of the other companies or organizations the Dim Son ran into the ground before he became the figurehead governor of Texas by running a vicious, dirty campaign against Ann Richardson.

Oh, they have to forget. Otherwise, they'd have to vote for a *gasp* Democrat!

I, too hope if the veneer finally wears too thin, even if they can't bring themselves to vote for Kerry they just stay home. One less vote for Bush is a very good thing.
