Every time I think she has gone to pasture, she pops up somewhere. Today on the KCRW produced Warren Olney program "To the Point."

She is a dried up douchebag with nothing to say, and says it relentlesly to a good portion of God's Own Party's human-phobes.

She is miffed at the current church and state separations.
Refers to it as the " so called" seperation between church and state.
I know what side of the theocracy issue SHEs on.

If she had power she'd be very dangerous.

7. She is harmless

she's just an old woman with a perverted point of view. Nobody cares about her anymore.

edit: In fact, nobody ever DID care about her. The Eagle Foundation was meaningless. When her son came out of the closet, she lost any lingering thread of respectability she had.

9. Meaningless? Not really

She was one of the driving forces behind the defeat of the ERA in 82. As a preteen I remember how insidious her claims of unisex bathrooms was. My own sisters and mother were against the ERA for just that reason. I remember pointing out the stupidity of that argument by asking whether the one bathroom we had was a men's room or a women's room.

I was told to quit being such a smartass.

Schlafly clings to this little fantasy world where the nuclear family is one man and one woman and their 2.2 children live in the house with the white picket fence. America is and SHOULD ALWAYS BE "Leave It to Beaver". Where "icky" ideas like feminism and homosexuality (in spite of the fact that Schlafly's own son is gay) don't dare intrude.

I remember her back in the 70s. Everytime she made a TV appearance she would be grinning ear to ear. Didn't matter what was being said, there was Phyllis with that big ole' grin.
