Bush's comment last week about rich people and taxes
On the campaign stump in Virginia, Bush said high taxes on the rich are a failed strategy because "the really rich people figure out how to dodge taxes anyway".

I know we all discussed it here, but has anyone noticed any RW'ers trying to spin this for themselves in a positive way? I'd be curious to see how they handle that.

1. I think Kerry should use that clip in an ad and counter with his plan to
close those loopholes which are the most egregious.

Well, I don't know HOW they'll spin it, but I bet their contortions doing so will be something to behold. Oh, wait, I know: this is fine and dandy and anyone that sees anything wrong with this is FOR the terrists and ought to be reported to Asscrack right away.

3. Rich people break the law so let's change it?
I thought Republicans had the "law and order" party!

4. They just ignore all of Bush's gaffes
or spin into showing what a "regular guy he is". They much prefer making up thinks about Kerry or taking things out of context and then attacking.

6. That's what I think too.
Their silence is deafening here.

But I thought someone on the right would try valiantly to spin this.

7. It's the same arguement they use regarding handguns
The criminals will still be able to get guns, so why bother regulating them?
