How can a country have soveriegnty..
if it doesn't have a standing army? Also what would happen if the other Arab countries decide to not recognize the new Iraqi Government? These and other question which are important to the future of Iraq do not seemed to be asked. Also what wil happen to Najaf and Fallujah when we leave? I see more problems than answers..

2. Sovereignty means just that, you, uhhh, are, uh, sovereign. And you
can, uh, have dealings with uhhh, other sovereigntities.

The Tragic 8-bush* Knows All!!

4. I read that we were helping them form a 250,000 man police force
And a 12,000 man army.....They will always require our "assistance", militarily.
We're building 24 bases (ours) to ensure no future admin can leave soon.

5. Several Countries Lack Standing Armies
Costa Rica for one....I think the lesson here to be learned is that you might need weapons of mass destruction, the real ones, to actually enjoy sovereignty. Like Pakistan, North Korea, and Iran
