WWLS...What Would Lincoln Say?
While the power of the Republican Party continues to shift more toward the radical christian clerics and the Darth Vader wing of the party, my question to DUers is...Who are the "Good Republicans?" Those members of that party that are tolerable...Those that can handle open honest debate without resorting to name calling? Who don't question the patriotism of those who disagree with them. Those who do credit to the memory of Abraham Lincoln. I can only think of about four...Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of ME, Lincoln Chafee of RI and John McCain of AZ.
What would Lincoln say about the party now?

1. I'm not the first to say it but Lincoln would NEVER be a Republican today
In his time the parties were reversed, with the Democrats being the party of big money, conservative social "values", bigotry, and general dumbassery. And when it came to the crunch he sent soldiers to deal with people like this.
