Courted By Kerry, McCain Taking Major Role For Bush
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=1896&ncid=1896&e=7&u=/nm/20040819/us_nm/campaign_bush_mccain_dc_5

Republican officials said plans are in the works for McCain to appear with Bush on the campaign trail during the week of the Republican convention in New York that will nominate Bush for a second term. Then the plan is for them to campaign together immediately after the convention.

This comes after the veteran senator traveled with the president last week to Florida, New Mexico and Arizona and spent the night at Bush's Crawford, Texas, ranch, where they are said to have gotten along famously.

"It helps having him stand by my side," Bush said during a stop with McCain in Niceville, Florida, last week.

I smell a rat here. Is Cheney going to leave the ticket "for health reasons" and McCain will replace him on the ticket. I think this is the only way Bush can possibly win in November. Cheney is such a liability I'm beginning to think he's going to have serious "heart attack" before now and the start of the Convention, or shortly after.

Is it legal for someone to replace a candidate after the Convention? I would think it would have to be. I REALLY think McCain is going to be the VP on the Rethug ticket. These bastards want to retain power any way they can, and dumping Cheney would go a long way in achieving that end.

Any other speculation here?

3. I once had respect for McCain
despite the fact that he's a Republican. Now I'm convinced he's a coward and a whore for not standing up to Bush. He obviously puts politics ahead of principles and protecting the honor of his family (referring of course to the 2000 S.C. primary).

"It helps having him stand by my side," Bush said during a stop with McCain in Niceville, Florida, last week.

UGGGHHHH!!! Make me F-ING PUKE! :puke:

4. John McCain has no honor. I would divorce him if he was mine. His
daughter must be so proud of her dad.

6. Yea, it's legal to replace a vice presidential candidate;
McGovern replaced Eagleton in '72.   Then again, that wasn't nearly as late in the year.   :shrug:
