Boy, 7, on a mission to help the world's poor
kudos, cameron . . . and cameron's mom . . . someone's doing some great parenting here . . .

A SEVEN-year-old boy was so moved by stories of people struggling for survival he set about raising money to help them.

Cameron Crouter asked his grandmother Elaine King, 45, of Windermere Road, Kettering, how he could help poorer people in the world and decided to collect £1 coins from trolley-users at Morrisons supermarket in Kettering.

He raised more than £160 – half from the supermarket customers and half from collecting twopence pieces from family and friends.

Cameron, who lives with his parents and three younger siblings in Nottingham, took the cash to the Oxfam shop in Kettering town centre. It is enough to provide schoolchildren in Zambia with 18 desks.
