Jack Cafferty just called Ted Kennedy a "rat."
Jackoff thought it was just soooooooooooooo funny that Kennedy ended up on the "no-fly terra" list. Then he said, "They set all these traps for the animals, it's nice when they catch a rat."

CNN continues its drive to out-fox Fox.

24. Thanks Modem Mom. I'm going to use the number now. Ted
Kennedy has been the conscience of Congress and I've often thought
recently of writing him and thanking him.

Someone ought to remind CNN that Jack Cafferty has had his own problems with the drink, and until he's in AA maybe they should take
him off the air. This country is having enough trouble dealing with
one "dry drunk" in the Whitehouse with Cafferty's stupid remarks.

to producers - so now I'm going to e mail and let "lovable Jack"
know what I think of him.

I also told them, to further impress..., that alhtough I like Bill
Hemmer, I wont be watching anymore.

That;s when they said they would forward it to the producers

What do want to bet Cafferty will apologize tomorrow.

Not good enough....remove him from the morning foursome except for
one minute of what he thinks is funny.

I say that cause I dont think they'll take him off entirely.

28. When I get angry, I get angry, so I e mailed them this too:
Concerning Jack Caffterty's remarks and laughter this morning referring to Senator Kennedy as a "rat".

Someone ought to remind CNN that Jack Cafferty has had his own problems with the drink, and until he's in AA maybe they should take
him off the air. This country is having enough trouble dealing with one "dry drunk" in the Whitehouse without having to hear Cafferty's stupid, I suspect "pickled brain" vicious remarks.

Jack Cafferty who is being sued for the cowardice and indecency of hit and run and leaving the scene of an accident is no one
to being throwing stones or name calling at a lion of a man,Senator Kennedy has been the conscience of Congress for many many years.

Although I enjoyed Bill Hemmer and Soledad in the past, I wont be watching anymore.

CNN's attempt to imitate Fox
News propaganda is not what I
call a news station or "the news you can trust".

7. Yes but who supports CNN?
CNN doesn't come free, you pay them to bring you this kind of crap. Don't call to complain. Call up and cancel! If a few million liberal viewers would stop sending them checks every month they might change their tune.

your sending a check to CNN and FOX and MSGOP. They don't provide their programming for free Time Warner pays them for it out of the money you pay them.

not throw stones. My daughter goes to the same College as his daughter. I made sure she knew who she was so she could report to me what kind of person she is knowing what an asshole Cafferty is.

Let's just say that Jack's daughter is "less than an angel" and all of his great parenting and conservative family values didn't seem to adhere to his daughter.

He can malign, name call and throw his Conservative bullshit around all he wants, but his own house is not exactly in order. As I said, people who live in glass houses...............

12. Time Warner
has no doubt studied the demographics of viewers who watch 24-hour news channels.

These viewers tend to be older and more conservative. They love war because they have no chance of ever fighting in one. If you do not fit the demographic, please realize that you are in the definite minority of the people watching those channels.

I don't have cable either. I don't watch TV period except for the occasional sporting event. It is amazing how the cobwebs clear out of one's mind after a few years without TV. They don't call it the "idiot box" for nothing.

13. Here's mine
I don't like the direction that CNN has turned. I used to be an avid fan, but the biased nature that is being displayed everyday sickens me. What gives Rat Cafferty the right to call respected Ted Kennedy names and laugh off his name being on terrorist list? Two Kennedy's have already died, the republicans should leave this one alone. CNN will soon be tuned out just like Fox news.

A caller on C-span called and complained about Matthews beating up Malkin last night. Malkin is going to be on C-span this morning.
Time to write Matthews and credit him for his great night of debunking the right.

19. News Anchor Faces $10 Million Lawsuit
Aug 15, 2003 11:50 am US/Pacific

A bicyclist has filed a $10 million lawsuit against CNN anchor Jack Cafferty for leaving the scene of an accident.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in state Supreme Court in Manhattan, alleges Cafferty was "reckless and grossly negligent" when he knocked Billy Maldonado off his bike with his Cadillac and drove away on May 14.

(snip)

Earlier this month, the anchor was ordered to pay a $250 fine and perform 70 hours of community service after pleading guilty to leaving the scene of an accident.

A traffic officer and about five pedestrians ran after Cafferty's car to stop him after the accident, but Cafferty drove through at least two red lights and around other vehicles without stopping, dragging the bike beneath his car, according to a police complaint.

Cafferty later told police that he'd seen a man on a bike who may have been a messenger weaving in and out of traffic as he drove south on Ninth Avenue. He told police that when he looked in his mirror, he saw the man getting up off the ground but was unaware he had hit the bicyclist.

21. Here's more…
(snip)

Cafferty, 60, co-anchor of CNN's "American Morning" show, was as crusty as ever as he showed up at Midtown Community Court.

"You're here for my traffic ticket?" he growled as news photographers zeroed in.

But once inside, the curmudgeon let his attorney, Seth Rosenberg, do the talking, entering his guilty plea.

Cafferty made the deal after being charged with reckless driving, second- and third-degree assault, harassment and leaving the scene of an accident.

Had he been convicted, he could have gotten up to a year in jail.

Cafferty's Cadillac struck bicyclist Billy Maldonaldo, 48, at W. 42nd St. and Ninth Ave. the morning of May 14.

The biker banged up his elbow, scraped and cut his hand, and his knee started swelling as Cafferty cruised away.

Traffic Control Agent Kevin Martin and at least five pedestrians witnessed the accident and chased Cafferty's sedan, screaming at him to stop as it blew two red lights while dragging Maldonaldo's bike, officials said.

When cops caught up to Cafferty a day later, the newsman said he didn't know he hit the bicyclist.

Maldonaldo's lawyer, Ernest Holzberg, said Cafferty sent a $250 check to replace the bike and a busted Walkman, and promised to reimburse Maldonaldo for cab fare to doctor visits.

Holzberg said he also expects Cafferty's insurance carrier to pay for the elbow surgery Maldonaldo needed.

Still, the lawyer said, Maldonaldo is "unhappy that he did not acknowledge that he knocked him down."

Why, that is something I would expect The Observer (who, in the Old Soviet Days was the Commie No-Spin O'Reichley) to write abotu Trotsky's Murder.

he called the people of MAssachussetts a rat. Just like Cheney said FU to Pat Lehey, he was tellling thousands of voters to F themselves.

30. On another thread, I said "Fire the CNN Sillies."
CNN has the word NEWS in its full title ... but it certainly doesn't act like a news network anymore. CNN packs its desk with a bunch of silly people who have to make stupid comments after news items are presented -- just to hear themselves talk and be allegedly clever.

I'm sick of it. There's no real news on the cable news networks anymore. Everyone has to be a comedian. That goes for MSNBC and, OF COURSE, Faux.

Fire them all and start over. What's Ted Turner doing these days? ... he had a great idea that worked well until others got their hands on the network. We need a REAL news network in the cable universe.

every freaking minute of the day. Then some right wing asshole puts Kennedy's name on the "no-fly list" thinking it's such a funny prank.

They have spent 2 years terrorizing Americans with their color coded alerts and other assorted bullshit. The wag responsible for placing Kennedy's name on the list deserves to lose his security clearance as well as his position. This is not a joking matter in my opinion.

Here's the letter I sent:

The wag responsible for placing Kennedy's name on the "no-fly" list deserves to lose his security clearance as well as his job. This is not a joking matter in my opinion. Homeland Security has spent 2 years alarming Americans with their color coded alerts.

The real story here is the abuse of power this incident reveals. Rather than taking this issue seriously, Jack Cafferty declared Kennedy a "rat" and chortled at his predicament.

Your credibility as a news organization suffers when you make light of a major breach of security like this. Why should I ever believe in the validity of the alerts coming out of Homeland Security if they have merry pranksters at work having fun at my expense? I don't consider this a joking matter. I don't think CNN should either.

32. Would that be "Hell on Wheels" Cafferty?
Why is it that CNN doesn't fire its on-air personalities who commit crimes? Both Cafferty and Novakula are still on the air. I'm not surprised that a scumbag outfit like Fox would employ Iran-Contra felon and traitor Oliver North or violent jailbird Shep Smith, but CNN is supposed to be the "Clinton News Network".

Oh, if only Turner hadn't sold out...
