The August jobs report
I just realized that the August jobs report will be released the day after Baby Bush's convention speech. Should the report be bad, it could kill any momentum from the convention. Should it be good )or "good") it could fuel a Bush convention bounce. Any thoughts as to what you expect will happen?

1. DOL will be under extreme pressure to cook the numbers
because the hiring scene is not positive in any way, and business pessimism is rising right along with oil prices.

I would see DOL numbers cooked beyond recognition and a possible ensuing scandal.

If DOL does not cook more than usual, the jobs report is destined to be shit.

3. Exactly
Job losses from here until November will be blamed on "Acts of God."

6. It's a built in debate point
If the job's numbers decrease, as I believe they will, Bush will invariably blame the Hurricane.

The response should be "There hasn't been a hurricane in Ohio in three thousand years, what do you figure the problem is there?"

8. I thought "Acts of God" = "Acts of Boy George." I must have
missed the freeper memo that "under god" is no longer in the WH.
