of the show's host to question the lies and expose them IMHO. None of these news program journalists do that. They need to get Katerina Vanden Houven, or Helen Thomas or Robert Scheer up there challenging what they say. I spoke with an employee of PBS last night. I asked her if she thought that PBS had gone completely right-wing. She said she didn't think so, but that it had "gone soft". I'm not quite sure what she meant, but I got the impression that she was "guarded" with her answer.

I don't believe that she is directly involved in any political journalism at NPR. Unfortunately, our conversation was interrupted at that point and did not continue. I was pretty disappointed, because I really wanted to pick her brain for info.

She despises Bu$h and said that she is definitely voting for John Kerry, so there is at least one Dem left at PBS.

about how money influences politics. The reporter, point-blank, pointed out the millions of dollars that go to presidential and legislative PACs, and asked Kristol if he thinks that it affects the way legislation is passed in Washington.

Kristol sat there with a blank stare for what seemed like an eternity. You would have thought he was asked to explain the Einstein Theory, or something. Then, when he got out of his state of stupor, he gave some half-crocked answer that made no sense.

After hearing this, I pointed to the TV screen and told my family, "THAT is an idiot!"
