How safe are our ports and borders now, compared to before 9/11?
And/or how secure are they now, after over two years to create more security at our borders and ports versus when Clinton was our president?

I think this is an important issue due to the unecessary interrogation and abuses happening to ordinary citizens by the FBI and Homeland Security, and Secret Service, especially when it appears that the borders and ports are now even LESS secure than they were prior to 9/11.

I dont have facts to back it up, however it does seem that our Justice Department and Homeland Security are far more concerned in stopping Teddy Kennedy, Senator Lewis from Georgia, from boarding their flights, and if you will remember a while back, they pulled a drawn out/unwarranted search on Al Gore.

Also, the FBI and other intelligence services seem equally concerned with infiltrating groups like Soccer Moms for Peace, the cookie eating peace group in Farenheit 9/11*, and other patriotic citizens than actually curtailing the real terrorists. If Im wrong I would love to see factual information to the contrary.

I am equally interested to get specific information and/or articles on how the current security of our ports and borders.

Seems to me there should be more transparency in this arena and less secrecy (and room for abuse)on the part of the FBI, Secret Service and Homeland Security.
