How many here think Jeb will run in '08?
I do. After hearing endless rumors about Hillary Clinton running for President, I got to thinking about Jeb. Who wants to bet that evil fuck is being groomed for the White House next? The Bush Crime Family isn't going to give it up with W, they'll just keep on going... have I mentioned how much I hate these people?

3. No way
When Bush loses in a landslide this year they won't want the same name on the ticket next time.

It will Be John McCain.
By the way...can McCain please sound off publicly about this Swift Boat nonsense again?

Why the HELL that man tours the country with the same guy who slandered his family 4 years ago is amazing to me.

I'm really starting to lose respect for him.

4. I think Jebbie will run for the Senate, or become an Ambassador
Out of the US if Shrubbie wins again. Kids are grown, Columbia loves to travel in style, shop in Paris, etc.

7. Whatever happens this year..
Jeb Boy WILL go for it in 2008...I'm convinced that the Bush Family Comprehensive Political Plan is to keep running ANY "qualified" Bush family members (i.e. not Neill) including George P. when he "matures" politically. That's probably one reason Colin Powell's pretty much given up any realistic hope of running...he's going to be "pre-empted" by the Bush line-up!x(

Besides, Jeb Boy is the one that Poppy and Bar originally pegged as the "star" of his generation of Bushes...he was the "smart" one, while Dub was the glad-hander. Of course, that's "smart" as in "Dark Side smart"; Jeb once asserted--allegedly in private--that he would use "devious" methods to confuse voters in Florida into thinking he was actually doing them favors.

Dub is hateful, narcisistic, and vindictive. Jeb is hateful, narcisistic, vindictive--and smart; smart enough to conceal that hate behind a facade of "nieceties" toward voters. Jeb engineered the Florida election fraud; Katherine Harris just carried it out for him. If we think what Dub's done to America--and to part of the world--is a disaster, we don't even want to THINK about what Jeb Boy would be capable of with that kind of power at his disposal.:scared:

We're staying here however this election turns out this November; if it were Jeb instead of Dub--and if it ever is--I don't know that I'd be nearly so firmly resolved to say that, or do that!

B-)

8. I think that's the plan,
as they try to hold the Reagan coalition of the rich and the religiously insane together. We'll see how far it gets. Jebbie's not Chimp. He's slicker than snot on a doorknob and twice as nasty.

10. Yes. The Bush family holds the reins of power in the Republican Party
Jeb will run. Count on it. The Bushes have this insane concept on family honor and revenge. They'll go after Kerry in 2008, big time. Just look at 2000.

11. The stench of entitlement comes off the Bush family.
Yeah, I keep hearing about how Jeb will be 44 and George P. Bush will be 47. Personally, I don't want these foul, disgusting plutocrats to run anything but a temperature or a load of laundry. Who the hell do they think they are? And why do they think we deserve their cover-their-ass policies? Bush II and his compassion -- yeah, it's really convincing when you cut Section 8 and Reading Is Fundamental, but want to eliminate the estate tax (or, as I like to call it, the Paris Hilton tax).

12. im wondering about
the * girls...i could see one of them running soon, think about it; a female, which would garner quite a few votes itself, still a bush in power, so the repukes will be happy. i know they're not very experienced, but when has that ever stopped the neo-cons?

13. I'm certain there are people who want him to (including himself) BUT
I think the Bushes as a political dynasty are finished.

A number of Republicans -- and not just among the voters, but even some of the politicans who would normally grovel before any demand of the party bosses no matter how harmful or ill-advised -- are disgusted with the damage George W. Bush has done to America, and realize that his ham-fisted jackassery has jeopardized their own job security. If he loses the next election and goes down a miserable one-term mistake like his Daddy, there is no way the Republican party will hitch its wagon to another abortion from this brood of losers in 2008.

If Bush wins or steals the 2004 election, four more years of his drunken fumbling will even more irrevocably seal the fate of his family's chances. I know a lot of people worry that his second term will bring about martial law or dictatorship. Perhaps. But the transition from Republic to Dictatorship is not a smooth or easy thing and requires a special kind of genius to pull it off. Octavian Caesar was such a genius, as were Napoleon and Adolf Hitler (I am not praising any of these men).

Bush is not such a genius, a fact which is quite obvious to all but his most blind and idolatrous worshippers. I'm certain that the real powers that be really do want to destroy the Republic, but they need it to be done by a steady hand who can keep their hopes from collapsing under the inevitable resistence, not by a fraternity clown who wrecks everything he turns his trembling paw to.

15. Whatever we think, Free Republic is CERTAIN he will run and win
They were placing the crown on his head just the other day. I was astounded...Are they totally unaware that this is not a monarchy? Truth be told, they don't have much to choose from. Cheney is unelectable, Ahnuld is Austrian, Guiliani and Ridge are pro-abortion, Bill Frist is incompetent, Sanctorum is an anal discharge...who else do they have?

All of their "electable" candidates are not acceptable to their base. Everyone acceptable to the base is unelectable.

I agree with the freeps on this one. I think the Rethugs will once again turn to "The First Family of Fascism" and nominate Jeb in 2008.

18. I predict that JEB and P will both run for President at some point
My experience this last year as a Florida resident is that Jeb's heart is as black as or blacker than his brother's. However, Jeb is more charming and intellegent than Bubba. He can use polysyllabic words properly, without a speech writer. "P", Jeb's son and W's nephew, is dashing and is painted in the medai as some sort of American version of Prince William. Just looking in his eyes gives me the creeps. I think he may be even more evil than Jeb and Dub.

19. Jebby will run.
Actually, he began his campaign a week ago, as noted on this site. Gave a mighty fine 'opening remarks' followed by the obligatory 'walkin' thru the rubble' with potential voters. This half hour of Jeb was presented on all the cable chans, no Repug funds spent.

20. Who is being groomed?
Possibly one of the sluts

There has been a lot of publicity surrounding Jenna in an attempt to form an image. and Jeb's son is on the campaign trail.

This one looks really as if there is nothing more evil than this Bush.

Be aware--be very aware--this family must never ever be allowed to take control of anythning having to do with our country. If they run for dogcatcher--attack and investigate for they will certainly try to cheat and bully their way into some office.

"Until this week, when they rolled her out to talk about stem cells, and she unctuously explained to the country that, maybe, the benefits of stem-cells were being "oversold." I watched her, all creamy certitude, and for the first time since 2000, wondered: "Where in the hell do you get off, lady?" Columba the smuggler as first lady! She can explain to average Americans why she hid $20,000 of couture clothes from customs when she returned from Europe.

22. If Junior loses, they'll field either McCain or Hagel in '08
Frist will try, but he's got less personality than uncorrugated cardboard. McCain's health may not hold out, though, and many of the serious reactionaries in the party have problems with him.

Who's to say? I think that if Junior gets beaten--even if it's a squeaker--it will be such a humiliation and failure that the taint will cling to the family for years to come: they had the opportunity of a century dropped in their laps, and to have blown that will be an embarrassment in the extreme.
