GOP Pick McCain after Terrorists Incapacitate Martyr Shrub
Edited on Sat Aug-21-04 09:29 PM by John Silva
Will this come to pass at the Olympics? Highly doubt it will happen at all, however I believe we should be aware of any and all possibilities with these sleazeballs since they have demonstrated the ability to undermine the basic freedoms of our country (Patriot Act), outed a CIA covert operative (Plame), lied on so many fronts.... etc.

Perhaps we would be well advised to not put McCain upon a pedestal!

1. I have been saying for months: Beware the dark horse candidate.

And I still believe it likely. Just don't know if the neocons could control McCain unless they have some really heavy dirt on him. I keep wondering about that deal a few years back, with American Continental Corp. Perhaps he was in a deeper mess and somebody pulled his ass out and is now calling in a marker. He has not looked really happy about all the campaign hype with the shrub. They would have to have a lot on McCain to make him their proxy.

But a dark horse after some terrible tragedy still seems plausible as bush* flounders. The junta will do anything to hold onto the keys to the treasury and they need a popular poster boy if they are gonna make stealing the vote counts look like it is on the up and up.

2. I think he can do no good at the olympics.
Only another visit to Baghdad can pull his numbers up now.
He must show his bravery is in the Kerry league.
He must walk naked (except for combat boots) through Masjid Ali to have any effect at this point. We must get through to Karl about this!

4. He won't go...it'll turn the Olympics into a circus, guaranteeing
some kind of terrorist act. They may be floating this, but it's just a cheap distraction to dilute Rood and the SBVT on tomorrow's talk shows.

Can you imagine Bush going and have Iraq lose? Oh, the irony....
