Fox News Sunday Roundtable gets crotchety!
Edited on Sun Aug-22-04 10:39 AM by VirginiaDem
Did anyone see this? Crystal and Hume were visibly frustrated and upset when Juan Williams and C. Connolly refused to back down about the Swift Boat Vets' credibility. Juan especially stood strong. And the host, I believe his name is Whatshisname, essentially said the same on a couple occasions, asserting that there is no documentary evidence to back up the Swifties. The tide has turned?

Edited for grammar

1. Welcome to DU! Thanks for the report - we have to believe that once
Whatshisname starts questioning the liars, the tide is turning!

7. I doubt Fox is going to go Dem anytime soon...
it was more the frustration of Hume and Crystal that impressed me. They were frustrated and visibly unhinged because they now have to deal with the so much stronger ammo available from the opposition.

9. Unreliable sources are just cementing their
unreliability. There have been so many credible people come forward Lately to debunk the swift boat peddlars And the NYT and Wash Post have had debunkings right on their front pages...that's just cnn being the chicken noodle network.

4. Mark Shields was also very insistent
when William Kristol tried to defend the smearboat vets on The News Hour a couple of days ago.

3. Not on ABC, or NBC, or CNN
It is being played as the debate that will continue. Goerge Will on this week touting the "documentary" coming from the smear boat liars in the next couple months.

5. George WIll is probably the creepiest
of all the rightwing Republican media whores. Even worse, he reminds me of my ex-husband.

Talk about the ultimate insult: creepy PLUS reminds you of your ex-husband. What could be worse than that?

8. If I have anything to do with it...
the word crotchety will be with us for a long time. I got it from my tactfully foul-mouthed mother, if such a thing can be imagined.

13. All Networks are under orders to go "all too confusing", equating lies
with truth, so the smear is effective for Bush.

Then the media pretends to be unbiased.

Our not right wing GOP controlled US media, they just act that way.
