How insane is DU going to be on election night?
I was just talking to my wife about this; I can't imagine how busy DU will be on election night; can the servers handle it?

I can't wait; it's going to be some night..

2. Not busy at all
if DUers are signed up to work the elections in order to win it.
Anyone who spends lots of time here from now until the election hasn't volunteered enough time to their local democratic effort.

Don't tell me why YOU can't. Get signed up to do something other than post on a message board.

Posting here is the least you can do for democracy on election day.

3. I can't because I'm an expat living in Canada..
Is that a good enough reason?

6. It was awful.
Not only was the server overloaded, but there was a lot of despair at how things turned out in many places.

There had been over-confidence that Democrats would re-take the House and/or the Senate, and then it all fell apart. Personally, I'm still highly suspicious of Max Cleland's loss, but that's just me.

It will be busy beyond belief, I'm sure. I doubt I'll be signing in myself, since I'll be attending at least one election watch party, maybe several.

7. It's gonna be insane - seek out alternatives now.
I will be here w/ hubby and friends knocking back drinks and surfing. Friends will bring own laptops (we have wireless).

It's gonna ROCK, and I hope to remember it the next morning!

PS - If * BBV attempts to steal it, we will all be out in the streets (hung-over, but, oh well) because 2000 Will NEVER Happen Again!

8. I won't be here
I'll be keeping my map updated and yelling at the TV (hopefully cheering-yelling, not angry-yelling like in 2000).

I'll also be working after school in a push to get younger voters and minority voters to the polls.

In fact, I may not be here the next day - too exhausted.

9. It was absolutely nuts here in November 2002
and real slow. But they've made a ton of upgrades since then.

Now, FreakRepublic - THAT's gonna be insanity. Imagine their paroxysms as their demented little world crumbles.

15. I'll be at the bar
The owner is giving a free beverage to anybody who comes in with an "I voted" sticker. I'm also sure I'll be wanting or needing a celebratory/consilatory drink. But, I'm sure I'll drop by DU before going to bed.
