Dean's C-Span speech was inspiring. IUPAT
Edited on Tue Aug-24-04 12:41 PM by madfloridian
I loved James Williams' intro where he referred to the Iowa scream. He said "it was from all of us, not just him."

Dean referred again to the fact that we should not forget who brought us to the dance, we need to play to our base and not forget them.

In one part he referred to a family in TX who told him they were uninsurable because one member had an inherited disease. That is inexcusable. Polycystic Kidney disease is detectable before it hits. That is unforgivable.

I heard it replays at 8 tonight, but the schedule is not yet up.

He also said what we have to do is NOT worry about the swing-voters ...... but just say what we mean."

1. When I listen to Howard Dean speak
I`m reminded of how much I yearn for politicians who are willing to speak the truth in plain language. I am so fed up with the business-as-usual crowd in Washington who run around trying to grab constituent`s votes just before elections, then head to Washington where they entertain lobbyists and forget where they came from.

Howard Dean is different. Very different. I admire his courage to go against the grain. We need a lot more people like him.

2. Bush only cares about the people who invest, not those who work.
"Bush only cares about the people who INVEST for a living...Bush doesn't care about people who WORK for a living"...
